What ATA iSpec 2200 Means

iSpec 2200 governs the content and structure of commercial aircraft maintenance documentation: maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, wiring data and service bulletins.

Its unit of content is the publication rather than the module, which is the clearest structural difference from S1000D. Most fleets live between the two specifications for years, with newer types arriving in S1000D while the existing library stays where it is.
