CMM stands for
Component Maintenance Manual
A CMM covers what the AMM does not: disassembly, inspection against limits, the repairs that are approved, reassembly and test. It is published by the company that made the component.
For a repair station it is a regulatory artifact as much as a technical one, because capability is tied to holding current data for the components it is approved to work.
