What S3000L Means

S3000L stands for

International procedure specification for Logistic Support Analysis

S3000L defines how the support requirements of a product are analyzed: what tasks are needed, at what interval, with what resources, skills and spares.

Publications sit downstream of it. On a connected program, the analysis and the maintenance manual share a source, so an interval change flows into the publication rather than being retyped into it. On a disconnected one, the two drift, and the manual eventually describes a maintenance program nobody is following.
