What is S3000L?

S3000L is the ASD/AIA S-Series specification for Logistic Support Analysis: the process of analyzing a product during design and through its life to determine what supporting it will actually require — the maintenance tasks, the spares, the support equipment, the skills. The LSA data it defines is the baselining source for the central Integrated Product Support elements downstream: the technical publications authored under S1000D, the provisioning managed under S2000M, the support equipment, and the training. Where the rest of the family delivers support, S3000L is where support is decided.
