What Single-Sourcing Means
Single-sourcing is the practice the whole structured content apparatus exists to enable: one authored source, many renditions, nothing re-keyed and nothing left to drift.
The promise is only as real as the machinery behind it. Content copied between deliverables to save time reintroduces exactly the divergence the approach was adopted to prevent, and it does so invisibly.
