What DID Means
DID stands for
Data Item Description
A CDRL line says what is owed and when. The DID it references says what the thing has to contain. Together with the cited standard and the statement of work, they form the citation chain that defines a deliverable.
When those sources disagree, and they do, the contract's order of precedence clause decides which wins. Knowing that clause exists, and what it says, is worth more than any amount of familiarity with the individual documents.
